01. PROJECT CONTEXT

A new legal brand entering social.

Opproval is a US immigration law firm helping exceptional talent navigate the path to O-1 visas in the United States. I worked with the brand at the beginning of its social presence, creating launch and educational content that introduced Opproval, communicated its expertise and established how the brand would show up visually online.

02. THE COMMUNICATION TASK

Legal content comes with a lot to say.

Immigration law is naturally information-heavy. Many of the subjects Opproval needed to communicate involved eligibility criteria, documentation, legal standards and detailed explanations that could quickly become difficult to engage with in a social feed.

03. THE CORE VISUAL STRATEGY

One subject. One Visual anchor.

Many of the educational posts were structured as carousels, so the cover had to do more than introduce a topic. It had to create enough curiosity for someone to continue. I used large, direct headlines and recognisable visual metaphors on the title covers to create that initial hook.

04. THE OUTCOME

Serious enough for law. Distinctive enough for social media.

Opproval wasn’t speaking to a conventional legal audience. Its clients are creatives and highly accomplished people, so the visual language needed to feel relevant to them without losing the credibility expected from a law firm. That meant moving away from the familiar, often conservative look of legal brands and building something more contemporary, expressive and visually engaging, while still feeling clear and authoritative.

The consistent use of Opproval blue, black, white and soft grey held the work together, while bold typography, editorial layouts, monochrome photography, 3D objects, collage and graphic details gave the content more personality. The result was a visual language that felt distinctive enough to appeal to a creative audience, but structured enough to still communicate expertise and trust.
